Gebesa was found in 1975 in the city of Gomez Palacio, Durango, México. The company began producing home furniture which was distributed in the states of Coahuila, Durango and Nuevo León, with customer’s great acceptation.

Looking forward to diversify its product line in 1982 the company decided to expand its production to metal office furniture.

The immediate success of office furniture caused Gebesa to consider increasing his production facilities. In 1986 decided to build Manufacturas Post-Form, S.A. de C.V. to expand its products to laminate and wood veneer materials.

In 1988, Gebesa achieved a distribution in the 75% nationwide, through a network of dealers and retailers strategically located in Mexico City, Monterrey, Saltillo and Torreon. Also the company had it trademark and stared operations Transportes Galbo, S.A. de C.V. with the purpose of improve delivery’s conditions.

As well its products have exported to Panama, Chile and the US. Gebesa range of lockers it’s distributed in EUA through of Legget & Platt Inc. and Win-Holt Equipment Group which are important suppliers of Home Depot, Block Buster, Sam´s, Wallmart and some retailers.
